Improving mental and physical health across the lifecourse
Research and activities in this theme aim to determine how best to intervene at the societal, community, program, and individual levels to reduce harmful exposures and disparities in health outcomes. This includes, for example, universal, targeted, and proportionately universal interventions, but also explorations of how the social exposome could be incorporated into precision medicine, which until now has focused exclusively on biological processes inside the body. Ultimately, this will inform the next steps required to apply research to policy and program practice.
