Sappho Gilbert is a PhD Candidate at the Yale School of Public Health and Visiting Predoctoral Fellow in Dr. Mahsa Jessri's nutritional epidemiology for population health research group at the University of British Columbia. Her community-partnered dissertation research is focused on food security, dietary patterns, and the nutrition transition in Nunavut, Canada. Sappho earned her Master’s in Public Health at Dartmouth College (Hanover, NH, USA) and graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT in Cambridge, MA, USA) with a Bachelor of Science in biology and a minor in political science
