JuHee Oh is a PhD student in Dr. Klein Geltink lab at the University of British Columbia (UBC) and BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute (BCCHRI). She completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Biomedical Laboratory Science in South Korea. She was trained in various molecular biology techniques and tissue cultures. Her Master’s projects were focused on investigating the signaling pathways in osteoclast differentiation and function. Now, she is studying the nutrient-sensing pathways and immunometabolism of CD8+ T cells, and how nutrient availability influences the protective function of CD8+ T cells. Outside of her work, she enjoys having coffee time and visiting famous local pizza places in Vancouver, and she is also a big fan of MLB baseball.
