Alejandra Wiedeman is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Pediatrics at UBC under the supervision of Dr Angela Devlin. She completed her PhD in 2018 in Human Nutrition at UBC under the supervision of Dr Sheila Innis (1953-2016). Her PhD research was focused on the nutritional assessment of choline. Prior to moving to Vancouver, Alejandra completed her BSc and MSc degrees at the Universidad de Valparaiso and Universidad de Chile, both in Chile. She is also a registered dietitian in Chile. Her current postdoctoral research involves studies assessing dietary intake, nutritional status, and cardiometabolic risk factors in children and youth.
