Teyden Nguyen is a master's student in bioinformatics at the University of British Columbia under the supervision of Dr. Sara Mostafavi. Her background is in software engineering and biology, and she has a keen interest in precision and personalized medicine. After obtaining her BSc at the University of Waterloo, she joined a Toronto-based start-up where she worked on developing a clinical informatics software application for collecting patient data and diagnosing rare genetic diseases. In the Mostafavi Lab, she is now working on developing statistical and machine learning models with multi-omics data for the analysis and prediction of asthma.
In her free time, she enjoys long bike rides, hiking and trying new food!
