Kim Schmidt completed her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and her MSc in Neuroscience at the University of British Columbia. She completed her PhD in Biology from Western University in London, Ontario, followed by a NSERC postdoctoral fellowship at Simon Fraser University in the Department of Biological Sciences. Throughout her training, her research focused on the effects of variation in the early-life environment on physiology and behavior and the biological mechanisms by which early-life exposures have long-lasting neural and physiological effects. Currently she is Research DIrector of the Edwin S.H. Leong UBC Healthy Aging Program.
