Jeffrey Brooks
Assistant Professor
Dr. Brook is an Assistant Professor in the Dalla Lana School of Public Health and the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Toronto. For 25 years he was a senior scientist with Environment and Climate Change Canada. He is an expert on air quality and health and sits on the Research Committee of the Health Effects Institute, which shapes research priorities in support of policy-relevant questions having global reach. Dr. Brook co-led the 15 year Gene-Environment program in AllerGen, a Canadian NCE. He helped build Canada’s largest birth Cohort, CHILD and he leads its environmental arm. Dr. Brook started and leads the pan-Canadian Urban Environmental Health Research Consortium (CANUE).
