Dr. Myriam Pâquet PhD

Myriam Pâquet is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Psychology at UBC. She completed her bachelor’s degree in psychology at the Université de Moncton and PhD in clinical psychology at the Université de Montréal. She has clinical training both in sexual health and chronic pain management from the McGill University Health Centre. Her doctoral work focused on genito-pelvic pain affecting couple’s sexual and psychological health. Through her clinical and research work, important questions have emerged for her on how close relationships shape physical and psychological health and well-being, while having the capacity to be both beneficial and detrimental.Her current postdoctoral research will extend her previous work on couples to investigate dyadic coping and support in relation to the couples’ emotional and relational well-being.
